That's what I think...

 Great Idea PolarB!!!

Five Fun Facts…

Well, I’ve been bouncing around reading about everyone else & I didn’t think it would be fair not to tell you something about me. I also think I have used some of your ideas to inspire my list.

Okay, so, #1: I really enjoy riding on the back of my husband’s motorcycle. It is so awesome not to have a care in the world. I look up into the clouds and see beautiful things. I trust his abilities completely and can relax and enjoy the scenery! #2: When I was about 12 years old I would set my alarm for 4:45am ON SATURDAYS! I would go out to the living room, where my step-brother-type-person (son of mom’s live-in boyfriend) was sleeping on the sofa bed. I would wake him up so we could watch “The Dukes of Hazzard” which came on at 5:00am. ON SATURDAY! #3: I believe in reincarnation, ghosts, angels, psychics. I am interested in numerology, astrology, palmistry & reflexology. I think all people have psychic abilities- they just need to be practiced. I know I have abilities I haven’t yet tapped into. #4: I have no problem with being crazy. It is the people who think they aren’t crazy that worry me. I am glad to be crazy, it keeps me sane. #5: I love to read! I sometimes have a hard time posting because I am too busy reading! I am usually reading at least two books at one time. I subscribe to Angels on Earth and Guideposts magazines. I am constantly searching the library’s catalog making lists of call numbers for my local branch or putting in requests from other counties!

So there you have it… a few things about me. That didn’t make me sound too much like a Brat, did it?

 THASC

I received a phone call at work last week… who would’ve guess, right! Na, just kidding! Anyway, this was a sales-type call. Usually I will quickly tell the caller that I am not interested, have a nice day…

Well, I gave the woman a chance to speak and was very glad! She told me about these wonderful greeting cards! While she was on the phone I went on-line to the website and was AMAZED! These cards are incredible!! PLEASE CHECK OUT THIS WEB SITE!!!

I am going to try to put the photos right into my post. If it doesn’t work PLEASE check out my gallery! The last five pictures have the heading ‘card sample’ and they are beautiful works of art! The most amazing part is that handicap artists create these works of art!

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: The phone call I received was from Iris Levy. This is important because if you order Ms. Levy should get the credit from your sale. Iris Levy. She was a very sweet lady! Iris Levy. If you do order on-line there will be a place in the final stage of your ‘check-out’ where you can enter Iris Levy’s name. If you would prefer Iris Levy contact you directly call 1-800-835-1527, they will be sure to get your information to Iris Levy.

HAPPY SHOPPING!!

 Happy Tuesday!

Yesterday was so busy at work. Every time I set the phone down, it would ring again!

I need to go in early today so I can get some paperwork done! I am falling behind… My office looks like a tornado went through! And the owner is coming in tomorrow… I have only met this man once, so I like to look as organized as possible! Therefore, I am going in early today. When I get the paperwork done I will move on to the organizing I began on Friday!

Yesterday I was pulled over! I had no idea why… The officer came up to the window and retrieved my driver’s license and proceeded to tell me I was going a little fast. I was honest with him. I told him I was discussing something with my son and I must pay closer attention. As I waited I said a small prayer, “God, please don’t let me get a ticket.”

What a nice officer. He came back with my license and said, “Watch your speed.” I promised I would and continued home~~~ with a great big smile on my face, after I said “Thank You” of course.

Well, my Tuesday is about to begin in full force! I will sit here {dry-heaving for some odd reason!}and drink my first cup of coffee. I try not to wake my son up in the morning. I will let him wake on his own, whenever possible. If he doesn’t crawl out of bed by 7:15 I send the dog up to rouse him! This way I don’t have to join the fight until a little later, and he loves being woken by the dog!! He gets her to lay with him for a bit, it is a relaxing way to begin a school day.

When he finally gets downstairs {after about 15-30 minutes [depending on his mood] of telling him to get dressed} we start with the “What do you want for breakfast” “I’m not hungry” routine! Usually I convince him that an egg and cheese sandwich would be awesome! He used to like cheese omelets. Or, as he so adorably picked up from Dexter’s Laboratory at the tender age of 3, he may occasionally ask for ‘une omelette de fromage.’ It is really cute!!!

Well, I just sent the dog up!!! Five minutes, then I am on my way upstairs. I suppose I should’ve gotten dressed before I sat down at the computer!

That has always been a big problem with me! I love the computer… My husband HATES the computer. My son also loves MY Dell. He’s been playing games on the computer since he was about three, when my mother got our first computer. I say ‘our’ computer because of course I went to mom’s to use it. That is when I got my FIRST email account. Then, when Mom upgraded that computer became mine! So it was OUR first computer.

Then about three or four Christmases ago, “Dude, I got a Dell!” NO kidding!! My mom bought me, her grown daughter, a brand new Dell for Christmas! IT WAS AWESOME!

Anyway, my husband doesn’t like computers. So, typically, I like to spend time on the computer by myself, meaning when nobody is around. I will often get up early and check my email and stuff. I also like to play games. More recently, however, I have blogging! I haven’t been journaling like I normally do. I come here to blog… It’s probably healthier too.

Normally I would whine and pout about the negativity, one way or another. But here I don’t like to complain so much. I touch on the BS and move on… That’s good, right? I mean who wants to listen to a whiner? Of course I had good entries as well. But I am one confused person. So my journal would mostly be negative, how could I change things kind of stuff. That’s no fun!

Well, since my son is now awake and getting dressed I must pry my fingers from the keyboard and get my butt upstairs and get dressed myself!

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

 Someday Soon?

So, what exactly am I thinking today? Hmmm? I am thinking that my son is going to drive me “benonkers”- that’s berserk/bonkers! It has been an interesting morning. My son has a sore throat. He hasn’t been running a fever, just a low-grade last night. I am hoping it is just a cold and not strep (or worse!).  I am pumping him full of vitamin C! Keep your fingers crossed!!

Well, I don’t have much to say, I guess… Is there something wrong with me, you might ask? I don’t think so. I do love blogstream! This is such a wonderful forum. Interesting stories, fiction and non. Many have been encouraging… saying how therapeutic this is. How true!! I don’t really have issues today, I guess. But it is nice to ramble on and not even think about if you make lots of sense, or being boring. If someone doesn’t like what you’re saying… they leave. The best part is you can come back later and see if there is something better to read!!

See, random thoughts!

I love, love, love to bake! I put in an application at a local, well-known bakery. They just moved into a new location…ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! I heard [word-of-mouth] that they were going to be hiring. Before they moved into the new store I put in my application. Apparently they don’t even advertise when they need help. People are ALWAYS putting in applications!

Well, I knew they wouldn’t be hiring until after the holidays. Training new help during one of their busiest times wasn’t an option! I know someone who knows someone who said they were going through applications early January.  I stopped in on the 6th. The girl at the counter said they were going to be calling for interviews starting next week {which was last week}, so I made sure I told her my name… I also walked by the owner on my way in AND out- I made sure I looked directly at him, I think we made eye-contact…?

I have almost 15 years kitchen experience! I LOVE BEING IN THE KITCHEN!! I would love the opportunity! So I pray… If this is the right thing for me and my family at this time, Dear Lord, please let it happen!!! I want in!! I even said as young as 12 years old that I was going to work there, someday. I hope my someday arrives!!

Well, I better get some housework done before my husband gets home from work! I don’t think I made the bed this morning…?
